ACW Destiny....Was As Good As It Gets!!
ACW Destiny…. was as good as it gets!! The Franchise Shane Douglas would defend his ACW Championship Title succesfully against challenger Ronnie Zukko before a packed house at the Annapolis Boys and Girls Club. ACW reminded me of the early days of ECW. ACW(Adrenaline Championship Wrestling) has perhaps the best talent I have ever seen assembled in Maryland.
One of the best matches of the night was Maryland Wrestling legend and former WWE Heavyweight Champion….Gillberg. He would take on Brian Hardy with Bobby Starr in his corner. Gillberg was invincible, eventually sphering Brain Hardy, to the crowds pleasure. He then would pick up Hardy, for the Gillberg suplex slam, for the 1..2..3! The crowd went bezerk! Could Gillberg be a possible contender for the ACW Heavyweight Championship in the near future? Who knows, but the guy has to be one of the funniest, and most talented guys in the buisness today! He can beat the heck out of you, and laugh while doing it.
Mia Yim, would win the Womans Triple Threat #1 Contender Match, between 2 of the most talented female wrestlers in the World in Sera Del Ray and Kacee Carlisle. After the 3 count, Sera Del Ray would disagree with the ref. Little did she know, that ref was a very talented female wrestler named Ashley Nicely, and Nicely would jump and up, and leg flip Sara out of the ring. Could we see a eventual tag match between Sara Del Ray and her apparent new friend Kacee Carlisle against Mia Yim and Ashley Nicely? Only time will tell!
Christopher Adonis took care of buisness, by NOT only beating Deathstroke, but by ripping his mask off. After he recognized the wrestler, Chris would fire him on the spot, and have him taken away by security. At one point Adonis said on the mic, he is the son of a WWE Hall of Famer. Some of the wrestlers didnt agree with him in the ring, and said he was lying, they were rewarded with a beat down by Adonis, and a couple of his wrestlers.
In a great Tag Team Championship Match, Pretty Ugly defeated Legion of Ungood. One of the wrestlers from Pretty Ugly would come to the ring with a Toilet Bowl Seat around his neck picking his nose. His partner would come in wearing a Hannah Montana T-Shirt lol. But make NO mistake, these are 2 wrestlers YOU dont want to step into the ring with. These guys could be Tag Team Champions for a very long time!
Skull maintained his ACW Light HeavyWeight Championship, by defeating Alan Cross, in a high flying matchup. Princeton Pike who reminds me of a classic ECW wrestler, defeated the very animated Cole Calaway. Dennis Reaper and Diaz was the opening match-up, and Diaz would get the crowd pumped on the opening bell. He wasnt afraid to tell the crowd, what he thought of them. And was a big factor I think, in getting the crowd pumped early on, and into all of the matches.
A wrestling team I believe, called the Hit Squad, would take on D-Line accompanied by Mia Yim. The D-Line would take care of buisness, with some brutal football tackles, giving the Hit Squad a NFL beating…that would make Ray Lewis proud!
And the event ended with a bang, ACW Commisioner Judge Jeff Jones, would make a #1 contenders match for the ACW Heavyweight Championship, and a shot at Shane Douglas at ACW: Broken Dreams, by pitting the tough irishmen Ryan McBride against Douglas protege Tyler Hilton. McBride would easily beat Hilton, who claimed he couldnt fight in his street clothes. The match ended with alot of excitement…McBride was seen standing on the top rope with his arms raised, with Irish music blaring through the arena’s speakers. McBride is coming for the Heavyweight Championship at ACW: Broken Dreams. This will be one matchup where The Franchise Shane Douglas may want to call out sick, and try to avoid this match!
